Flag N Fleece Alpacas is a veteran-owned farm in Spotsylvania, Virginia, built on a lifetime of caring for others. We're a calming, welcoming space where veterans, first responders, families, and neighbors can slow down, meet our gentle herd, and feel a little more at peace. This farm is our way of giving back — and everyone's invited.
Meet Steve & Sylvia
Flag N Fleece is the heart and work of Steve and Sylvia, married 41 years and partners in everything. Steve is a Navy veteran who lives with PTSD, and their family's roots run deep in service — their son is active-duty Navy, and their niece and nephew are both veterans. Steve's oldest son is also a volunteer fire fighter in his community. Over the years, Steve and Sylvia moved back and forth between the United States and Australia, where Sylvia is from, building a life defined by one constant: an open home and an open heart for anyone going through a hard time.
Helping others has always come naturally to them. And having seen firsthand how PTSD affects not just veterans but the people who love them, they felt called to do something lasting. This farm is that something — a peaceful place where the gentle company of alpacas can help people breathe a little easier and feel a little more whole.
Energetic Healing Sessions
For those who are open to it, Sylvia — an energetic healer — offers crystal healing sessions right on the farm, with the alpacas grazing gently in the background. It's a calm, restful experience for anyone drawn to it. Just ask, and we'll be glad to tell you more.
